Services we can provide for you...
Everyone is different, so we strive to put the right fitness plan together for your specific needs. Whether your goal is to excel in sports or lose weight and live healthier, we will help you set realistic goals and work with you to reach them.
Your Fitness Plan can include:
Fitness Assessment - We begin all new clients with a Fitness Assessment to help determine what specific needs you have. We spend 75-90 minutes in this initial appointment and do assessments that are based around your goals so that we can prescribe the most effective workout for you. The best part is, if you buy a package of training sessions, the FA is FREE!
Pilates Mat Work - STOTT PILATES is a contemporary approach to the original exercise method pioneered by the late Joseph Pilates. The refined method resulted in the inclusion of modern principles of exercise science and rehabilitation, making it one of the safest and most effective methods available. Benefits of Pilates training are increased core strength, flexibility, mobility, balance, body awareness, injury prevention and a potential decrease in back pain.
Resistance Training - To increase or maintain strength, lean body mass & bone density, some form of resistance training is necessary. Whether you are using an external source of resistance (weights or bands) or your own body weight, we will put together a resistance training plan that is safe and effectively helps you reach the goals that you set.
Cardiovascular Training - Your heart is the most important muscle in your body. Heart attacks are the number one cause of death in both men and women so your heart needs its own training routine. Even adding regular walks to your daily routine can significantly decrease your chance of a heart attack. If you need someone to talk with on your walk or if you need someone to plan your training regimen for your first half marathon, we can help.
Flexibility & Pre/Post Rehab - Many injuries, including back pain, can be prevented by adequate range of motion in your joints. By spending a few minutes a day, you can increase your flexibility and decrease your chance of injury. Mauka Fitness Professionals will work with your Physical Therapist after you are done with Rehab in order to help you continue your progress and help to ensure your injury doesn't reoccur.
Kinesio Taping - Kinesio tape is a method of taping that uses a flexible tape to help support your body to move properly. If you have a small nagging injury or are preparing for an event, give it a try.
